PGD in Maternal and Child Health (PGDMCH)

The programme aims to give medical professionals and private practitioners the chance to improve their knowledge and expertise in maternal and child health (MCH) so they can offer higher-quality MCH services. The curriculum focuses on strengthening the knowledge and abilities of medical professionals working in both the public and private sectors of the health care delivery system. It also covers principles, techniques, and applications for knowledge in the field of MCH services. The Medical Council of India regards this curriculum as Continuing Medical Education. The program's objectives are to instil thorough knowledge of current maternal and child programmes and prepare participants to manage health care services at various institutional levels, combat disease outbreaks, effectively manage national health programmes, particularly those pertaining to MCH services, provide antenatal care for high-risk pregnancies, carry out routine deliveries, manage common emergencies related to pregnancy and its outcome, and identify referrers.
