MA in Sustainability Science (MASS)

The Sustainability Science is interdisciplinary and looks at how nature and society interact with each other. Sustainability Science is a well-known field of study all over the world, and it is well known that it is one of the tools that will help us reach the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. IGNOU is the first university in India to offer this new field of study. This is in line with the goals of the National Education Policy 2020. The MASS is mostly about the origins and principles of sustainable development, as well as its tools, methods of implementation, and ways to measure its success. In an academic setting, the basics of natural resource management, ecological economics, and global and local efforts for sustainable development through good governance, law, and policy are taught so that students can understand the tools and techniques needed to create and carry out projects for sustainable development.
