Methods for windows activation
I am trying to understand how activation works when users do not enter a regular product key. Are there software-based methods that handle the process on their own, and how do they differ from using an official license?

I noticed when researching different activation approaches that some users focus on methods where the system receives a server-like response instead of validating a personal key. In those discussions a tool described as a kms activator appears as an example, mainly because it simulates how a licensing service could communicate with the operating system. I find it interesting that the system still marks itself as activated even though no retail code is processed directly, since the response mimics what a real key management server would normally return.
