About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Junior Project Manager to join Gyaniversity’s dynamic team. In this role, you’ll help drive smooth operations and successful project outcomes while gaining hands-on experience in e-commerce, team management, and educational product development.
You will manage day-to-day activities, support recruitment and onboarding, coordinate with freelancers and interns, and guide team members to ensure projects are delivered on time and at high quality. As the key point of contact for project tasks, you’ll oversee execution from concept to completion, making sure goals are achieved within scope and budget in a collaborative remote environment.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in any field (Project Management is a plus).
1+ years of experience in project management, with a track record of successfully managing e-commerce, educational, or tech-related projects.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and project management tools (e.g., Asana, Power BI, or similar).
Knowledge of e-commerce platforms such as Amazon Seller Central and CRM systems is a plus.
Ability to lead a remote team and provide mentorship.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think critically and strategically.
Exceptional attention to detail, especially in tracking and reporting.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Comfortable with fast-paced environments and handling a variety of tasks and responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding:
Schedule interviews and assess candidates.
Review assignments and applications.
Send onboarding emails and assist with system setup.
Manage employee offboarding, removing access to company systems.
Update account credentials post-offboarding for security.
Team Management & Communication:
Lead daily stand-up meetings to gather updates and feedback.
Prepare and lead monthly all-hands meetings with project goals.
Conduct weekly one-on-ones to provide feedback and support.
Assist interns and freelancers with administrative queries.
Assign and track tasks for interns and freelancers.
Deliver training sessions for new recruits.
Regularly update the team with project progress.
Maintain up-to-date project management files.
Project & Task Management:
Ensure syllabus updates and necessary project data are collected.
Assign project folders and prepare credit lists.
Set targets and monitor team progress.
Resolve delays and ensure timely project delivery.
Apply for ISBNs and manage product documentation.
Follow processes for product creation.
Reporting & Administrative Tasks:
Prepare accurate monthly payroll reports.
Update SG and PB management sheets.
Review and update product creation tracking files.
Ensure timesheets for freelancers and interns are submitted correctly.
Miscellaneous:
Attend research writing pro-order calls and liaise with management.
Identify workflow bottlenecks and suggest solutions.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams for project alignment.
Serve as the communication point between freelancers, interns, and management.
Ensure secure handling of sensitive documents.
Provide feedback on process improvements.
