PGD in Early Childhood and Foundational Stage Education (PGDECFE)

Early childhood is the time from birth to age 8. This is something that everyone around the world agrees on. From birth to age eight, a child's development stays the same, so it's important to meet all of their health, nutrition, stimulation, and learning needs at the same time. Also, there needs to be a connection between the play-based and activity-based methods used in preschool and the first and second grades of primary school, in terms of the pedagogical principles that guide planning and delivering learning experiences. The NEP, 2020, calls the time from birth to age eight the "Foundation of Learning" because this is when care and education for young children are most important. The NEP's Foundational Stage of Education is made up of the first three to eight years of school.
