MA in Drawing and Painting (MADP)

The programme educates discerning students who cannot study Fine Arts through conventional means. The Master of Arts in Drawing and Painting (MADP) programme allows serious Fine Arts students to study art theory, practise, and research online. The programme covers art elements and principles, art history, art education, aesthetics theories, and research methods, as well as art tools, materials, techniques, and methods for analysing and creating art. To become a professional artist, the programme helps students discover and refine their style in their chosen medium.

The programme develops professional and academic skills for job opportunities and overall development. Thus, the learner will be able to understand theory and practise, describe Indian Art Practices and Aesthetics in historical and contemporary context, demonstrate elements and principles of art through drawing and painting, use material and technique for drawing and painting, observe, analyse, and create an art work, and work independently to research, identify, and develop own style and express through chosen medium(s).
