Certificate in Spanish Language (CSLC)

The programme is intended for prospective students who are interested in learning Spanish in a non-native setting and who wish to learn about the cultures of the Spanish-speaking nations. The overall goal of this programme is to help students develop language proficiency (pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and basic communicative competence in both oral and written communications) as well as sociocultural proficiency in the target language so they can interact effectively with people who speak Spanish in daily activities. This program's curriculum is based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), developed by the Council of Europe for all European Languages, and participants are required to attain communicative competence at the A1 level. In this course, students will develop their basic linguistic and sociocultural proficiency in the target language, enabling them to interact with Spanish speakers in everyday situations.
