Certificate in Professional Development of Teachers (CPDT)

For approximately 10000 in-service teachers working at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, the School of Education at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) offers a six-month Certificate in Professional Development of Teachers (CPDT) Program in collaboration with Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (An Autonomous Body under Minister of Education). The programme focuses on increasing the abilities of in-service teachers to manage students' mental health issues by strengthening teachers' self-management skills (including managing their own stress) so they can increase their capacity to handle all potential challenges of their professional as well as personal life in Navodaya; and developing good institutional life and culture within Jawahar Navodaya V.
