Certificate in Performing Arts - Bharatnatyam (CPABN)

Indian classical dances highlight the core cultural values of India's many regions. This curriculum includes instruction in the fundamentals of Bharatanatyam, a well-known classical dance style, as well as a comprehensive and integrated approach to Indian performing arts through theory classes with a weighted ratio of 70% theory to 30% practise. IGNOU has developed an innovative programme that blends the strengths of IGNOU and its Program Study Centers. Through its programme study centres, it offers face-to-face interaction for both Theory and Practicals while combining the flexibility of remote and continuing education with traditional learning systems. The program's objectives include disseminating and building a comprehensive knowledge base of Indian cultural forms of expression, such as dance, music, painting, and theatre; enhancing cultural sensitivity and developing cultural know-how; and disseminating strong and solid basic practical dance training that is essential for advanced learning.
