Appreciation Course on Population and Sustainable Development (ACPSD)

The Appreciation Course on Population and Sustainable Development examines the connections between "population" and "sustainable development" in India, putting particular emphasis on how population issues intersect with concerns about sustainable development, environmental safety, and opportunities for livelihood. This program's objectives are to introduce current population studies issues pertaining to the interactions between population growth and social and economic development, to investigate and gain insights into the most effective strategic planning for population stabilisation, and to comprehend other related thematic areas such as the environment, gender, reproductive health and other health issues, ageing, and population displacement within broader perspectives of population studies. Additionally, it strives to give readers a grasp of theoretically grounded knowledge as well as first-hand accounts of the various aspects of population growth and sustainable development.
